Then my awesome sister showed up, in her actual junior prom dress (circa 1992--and yes, she STILL fits in it, but don't be hating her!) AWESOME!!!!
She was even in the costume contest...
The best part about it all is that SHE HASN'T EVEN READ THE BOOKS! She's just always up for a good time, and she made it great!
We got pictures taken with "Edward"....
Then "graduated" from Forks High...
And all I could think while we were doing it was, "This is fun, but boy oh boy am I giving Casey some major blackmail material." Yes nerdy, but fun to be out with my sisters doing something new! So I'm beating you to the punch, honey--and posting it on the blog.
That and one up-ing it by mentioning the time we were too cheap in med school to fork out money for the newest Harry Potter, so you went to the grocery store, picked up the book and sat down in the corner by the pharmacy and read--ALL NIGHT. I was starting to get worried that something had happened to you when I woke up the next morning at 6:30 and you were STILL gone! And now it's an endearing story that all our friends from C-ville remember when they think of you...
Hey, at least we're literate, right?!?

Speaking of nerdy...my mom sent ADAM to go get the book for her...ha ha ha! And That story about Casey is hilarious and I didn't know Katie was in town still!!
Oh, I should've said she sent Adam to go get the book AT MIDNIGHT! :) I'm sure he had fun with all the crazy ladies down there!
I'm so jealous of your fun time with sisters!! I love that Liz still fits into her prom dress and looks fabulous while doing so. I've popped the seams on mine (for Halloween I went as Deb from Napoleon Dynamite). I'm too cheap to buy the book so I'm waiting for my neighbor to pass it along!
I am still laughing at the thought of Casey sitting in the grocery store corner all night!!
So... have you read the book yet? I'm still waiting for my sister to finish her copy. You may say I'm cheap, but then, YOUR husband did spend all night on the hard grocery store floor...
So I'm all set to leave comments regarding the whole Twilight thing and how extremely funny your sis-in-law is about going dressed up w/out even reading the books, but then there's the twist at the end with the story of Casey reading HP all night in a pharmacy! Thank you, thank you for sharing that. I will probably laugh every time I see Casey now!

Wow...you are so stinking fun. I was suppose to be at that party but ended up in Insta Care. I even had Jacki's prom, aka cinderella dress all ready. It looked like a lot of fun and not nerdy at all. Reading Harry Potter in the Grocery store...a little bit nerdy.
