I've had a few bouts with random abdominal pain over the past two weeks, but Friday was a real dousy that wouldn't go away! I called Casey at work who reassured me that it could be anything from really bad gas to cancer (Oh, that narrows it down!) and he encouraged me to be seen.
Casey met me at the ER, which was how we spent our date night, and I was in surgery after a few hours because of some large gallstones. I am now gallbladder-free and walking like an old lady, all hunched over, but am feeling better now that I'm not in pain anymore!
Mostly, I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to my family that stepped up in a big way (and when it really was so inconvenient--sorry:{ and to the great neighbors who have called, come over, and even brought some yummy food. Lucky us!

I'm so sorry you had to go through that! Hope you get feeling better soon, what a weekend!
Wow! Hope you are feeling better soon! That is kind of scary!
What in the world, Katie! That is so scary! I'm sorry I wasn't here to help out! Our prayers are with you for a speedy recovery! Love you!
Wow, that doesn't sound fun at all! I hope your recovery is quick. Let me know if you need anything!
Oh Katie I have been there! I'm so sorry! It is painful! I had mine out about 4 years ago. They couldn't find what was wrong with me, they just told me I was constipated! I don't think so, it was horrible pain..not just constipation! Hope you start feeling better really soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I'm sorry you had to deal with this, Katie! Sounds harsh. I hope your feeling better.
Wow, what an adventure!! Well old lady...I guess you won't be playing soccer with us any time soon.
Katie!!!! Holy Moly. That is scary. I am so glad that you are alright. I wish I could come take your kids so you could rest. I am thinking of you.
Holy cow Katie! I so wish I could be there to help out. That sounds heinous, especially given that you were home alone dealing with it with all your kids! Todd has told me for years that I have colon cancer (no I will not divulge my symptoms). Maybe I should get checked out.... : )
Feel better!
I am glad that you are feeling better!
Katie-
Ugh! I'm sorry you had to go through that & I hope you feel back to normal soon. But, I guess, on the bright side, you've got that cute little Gall Bladder dude you showed in the picture...
:)
Miss you!
